Vaping explained for beginners - What to Buy?

This article was created to explain and introduce new users to the vaping scene.

What Is a Vape Mod or Vape Pen?

Vapes are small vaporizers that convert a liquid containing a vegetable-based glycerin, nicotine and a flavoring into vapor, which is inhaled by the smoker. The base of a vaporizer, which is about the size of a large pen, contains the heating unit and a rechargeable battery.

Vapor Mods -

Disposable e-cigarettes - which vapes are often compared to, are cheaper, look more like traditional cigarettes and can’t be recharged after the liquid is used up.

Mechanical Mod - is a device which a rechargeable battery (18650 battery) is housed inside with an atomizer which screws on the top to vaporize the eJuice of your choice.  This enables the battery to have direct contact mechanically to the vape atomizer without having to deal with any computer or electrical issues that might appear.
Box Mod - is a larger unit with traditionally uses a dual battery (18650) system shaped as a rectagular box with a firing button on the side.  Most of these units have a heat or watt control (computer chip), allowing for adjustment on power going to the atomizer.

Atomizers - is where the eJuice or eLiquid is vaporized into what is inhaled as "smoke."  There are two types of atomizers which are available in the marker: a Rebuildable Drip Atomizer (RDA) or a Liquid Tank Atomizer.
RDA (Rebuildable Drip Atomizer) - area built per the users request at any local vapor shop or you can purchase individual coils which are premade online.  An RDA uses the coil builds with cotton in the middle of the build to vaporize the eJuice.  Pros: of having an RDA is having a larger vape clouds production and being able to build the coil to focus on either flavor our clouds production. These are also more generally used for the user who wants a strong hits to fix their nicotine craving.  Cons: Having to repeatedly drip the eJuice onto the cotton every 5-10 puffs of the vapor.
Liquid Tanks - Are another type of atomizers which are able to hold eJuice in a tank, so the user does not have to repeatedly drip the eJuice onto the cotton after several puffs.  A liquid tank utilizes a premanufactured coil with cotton that screws on inside the liquid tank to vaporize the eJuice.  Pros: Liquid Tank can support variable volts and they can store eLiquid for all day use without refilling.  Cons: Some tanks have restricted air flow and the can restrict the amount of vapor production you have.

Batteries & Chargers - Purchasing good quality batteries and chargers is one of the most over looked and important features of the vape scene.  I recommend always purchasing a smart battery (Nitecore) charger with will recognized what level each battery is charged and will stop charging when it reaches its full capacity, preventing each battery from being over charged.

Which battery to choose? What does Amp and MAH mean? If a battery has 35A this means the battery is capable of discharging a max of 35 Amps, with a continueous flow of roughly 20 Amps. Each battery is marked with a MAH (A milliampere hour) (Example 3000 MAH) which commonly used to describe the energy charge that a battery will hold and how long a device will run before the battery needs recharging.
